Oakley Johns earns Rookie of the Year with Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series
Oakley Johns and his team made the long haul to the Palmetto State as he joined a 42-car field at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) on Friday afternoon for the opening night of the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series finale weekend.
Johns finished 24th in the $8,022-to-win opener and ran 20th in the Blue-Gray 100 the following night. Oakley stayed far enough ahead of Luke Morey in the point standings to secure the 2025 Rookie of the Year award. Johns took home a $5,000 bonus for his efforts.
