10th-place finish for Oakley Johns at Southern Raceway with Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series
Oakley Johns made the very long trip to Southern Raceway (Milton, Fla.) on Saturday afternoon after losing Friday's $8,000-to-win opener to wet weather and checked in with the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series for the $12,000-to-win Rumble at the Races finale.
Johns came out swinging in qualifying and set quicktime among 14 entries before mechanical issues in his heat race sidelined him. Oakley brought out his backup car for the 50-lap main event and finished 10th.
Johns currently leads the Rookie of the Year standings.
