Oakley Johns follows HTF Series to Lake Cumberland and Florence
On Friday afternoon, Oakley Johns made the long haul to join the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series for a two-step through the Bluegrass State with visits to Lake Cumberland Speedway (Burnside, Ky.) on Friday and Florence Speedway (Walton, Ky.) on Saturday.
Johns started from the sixth-row in the $10,000-to-win main event and recorded a solid 12th-place finish in the feature. Oakley took a provisional on Saturday at Florence Speedway (Walton, Ky.) and drove forward to a 15th-place finish.
Oakley is still leading the Rookie of the Year point standings.
