Johns competes with World of Outlaws for Alabama Gang 100 weekend
Losing Friday's $12,000-to-win opener to Mother Nature, Oakley Johns joined the newly-rebranded World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) on Saturday for the Alabama Gang 100.
Laying down a solid lap during his time trial session, Johns started fourth in his heat race but was caught up in a wreck while battling for a transfer position. Oakley tagged the tail of his B-Main but did not make a transfer position.
