12th-place finish in Bama Bash finale with Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series
Back with the tour for the second week in a row, Oakley Johns was one of 50 drivers signed in with the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) on Friday afternoon for night one of the Bama Bash.
Getting a provisional and finishing 23rd in the $8,000-to-win opener, Johns found more speed on Saturday evening as he grabbed the final transfer spot in his heat and raced to a 12th-place finish in the 50-lap finale.
Johns sits 11th in the overall point standings and leads the Rookie of the Year standings.
