Oakley Johns victorious at Thunderhill Raceway Park; fourth-place outing at Moulton Speedway
Oakley Johns kicked off his weekend with the Southern All Stars at Moulton (Ala.) Speedway for Friday's $5,000-to-win Spring Smasher 40.
Stopping the clock second-fastest in his qualifying group, Johns started the 40-lap feature from the third-row and finished just off the podium in fourth. He trailed Christian Hanger, Camaron Marlar, and Jadon Frame while David McCoy completed the Top-5.
Switching gears to Thunderhill Raceway (Summertown, Tenn.) on Saturday, Oakley was one of four Limited Late Model entries at the track. Johns qualified on the pole and led flag-to-flag in the feature to score the victory.
