Oakley Johns lands sixth-place finish in Bama Bash at Talladega Short Track
After losing Friday's opener to rain, Oakley Johns unloaded the Zippy's Auto Sales No. 6 at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) for the $15,000-to-win Bama Bash.
With 46 Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series Late Models checked in, Johns topped his qualifying group and finished runner-up in his heat race. Rolling off from the third-row, Oakley ran inside the Top-10 for the entire 50-lap main event to finish just outside the Top-5 in sixth.
